Details

A scarf in 100% baby alpaca. Baby alpaca is a grade rather than an age — it is the finest fleece the animal produces, which is why it sits smooth against bare skin instead of prickling.

The fibre is hollow, so it holds heat at very little weight and keeps breathing when you come indoors. It carries no lanolin, the compound that makes sheep wool itch, which is what makes it workable for sensitive skin.

Cut oversized, so it works as a scarf or opens out into a wrap. Soft fringing at both ends. Useful on a plane, where a blanket is never quite enough.

Drawn in Estonia, knitted in Peru in small batches. Arrives in a gift box.
