Linen dresses, explained

Shirt dress or A line?

The shirt dress has long sleeves, buttons the full length and ties with a drawstring belt, so it can be worn closed or open over other layers. The A line has a square neck, wide straps and an elasticated back, no fastening, and hangs away from the body.

How long are the dresses and which sizes are there?

The shirt dress measures 122 to 126 cm down the back and the A line 109.5 to 112 cm, depending on size. Sizes run from XS to XXL, and every dress page has the size chart in centimetres and inches.

How heavy is the linen?

The shirt dresses are cut from 125 g/m² linen, light enough to need no lining. The A line dresses use a heavier 150 to 180 g/m² linen that holds its shape. All of it is stonewashed before sewing, so it arrives soft rather than stiff.

Which certifications apply?

OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and EUROPEAN FLAX. The flax is grown in Western Europe and the dresses are sewn in the EU, in Lithuania.

How is linen cared for?

Machine wash at 30 °C with similar colours and line dry. Iron while slightly damp for a crisp finish, or wear it relaxed. Stripes and florals are woven into the cloth rather than printed, so they do not wear off the surface.
