A backpack cut from leather a furniture workshop had finished with — upholstery-grade hide, good enough for a sofa, left over after the cutting.

One large main compartment and two open pockets on the back. The construction is deliberately simple: fewer seams, fewer things to fail.

30 × 30 × 9.5 cm, in caramel. Every piece differs slightly in grain and shade, because the material does. Cut and stitched by hand in Estonia.

Material

Upholstery-grade leather left over from furniture production. Grain and shade vary between pieces.

Maker

Trendbag makes bags by hand in Estonia from leather left over by furniture manufacturing. Upholstery-grade offcuts cut into backpacks, totes and shoulder bags — each one different, because the material is.

Care

Wipe with a dry cloth. Treat occasionally with a leather balm. If it gets wet, let it dry naturally away from direct heat.

The leather is what a furniture workshop has left after cutting a sofa. Good hide, wrong shape, and normally waste. Trendbag cuts bags from it by hand in Estonia.

Which is why no two are identical — grain, shade and marking shift from batch to batch. That is not a defect to apologise for. It is the material being honest about where it came from.
