Details

A clutch in glossy black leather with a matte birch panel set into it. The birch is Betula pendula, and the grain runs differently on every panel — no two are the same piece of wood.

A magnetic clasp closes it; an interior zip pocket holds what you would rather not lose in a bag this size. The detachable strap turns it from clutch to shoulder bag.

RR is a Latvian leather workshop. Backpacks, shoulder bags, clutches and totes, cut and stitched by hand in small numbers, finished with painted edges and lined interiors.

Care

Wipe with a dry cloth. Treat the leather occasionally with a balm. If it gets wet, let it dry naturally away from direct heat.

The details are where the work shows: painted edges, lined interiors, magnetic clasps that close in one movement. None of it is visible in a photograph. All of it is obvious in the hand.
