Details

Lund carries a laptop without a padded shell. The felt is thick enough to do that job on its own, so the bag keeps a flat geometric line instead of the moulded look of a sports pack.

An inner pocket holds the laptop, the main compartment takes documents and the rest, and the front flap closes with magnetic snaps. This one is grey. Two sizes: 15 inch at 28 by 40 by 14 cm and 542 g, 17 inch at 30 by 44 by 14 cm and 615 g.

Material

Recycled PET felt, pressed from used drinks bottles. Dense and dry to the hand, weatherproof against light rain, and thick enough to protect a laptop with no padding added. 542 to 615 g empty.

Maker

Nordhale is an everyday carry workshop in Estonia, founded in 2016. Bags, cases and laptop sleeves in recycled PET felt and water repellent polyester canvas, cut, stitched and finished by hand in its own workshop, and sold with a two year warranty.

The laptop goes into a separate inner pocket, so it does not sit against whatever else is in the bag.

Care

Spot clean with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. Air dry flat. Do not machine wash, tumble dry or iron. If it gets wet, wipe it down and let it dry away from a radiator.

Nordhale works out of a small workshop in Estonia, pressing recycled PET into a felt dense enough to keep its edges. Every piece is cut, stitched and finished there by hand.
