Editor's note
Some pieces at Snøluv are made only after they are ordered. Linen Tales sews linen pyjamas, loungewear and a waffle bathrobe to order in Lithuania. In Estonia, HILP sews its t-shirts and sweatshirts to order, Nuckö its children's softshell onesies, and Stella Soomlais makes its leather backpacks to order. Each product page states the production time before dispatch.
Made to order, explained
What does made to order mean at Snøluv?
The maker cuts and sews the piece after your order arrives, instead of keeping finished stock. You choose a standard size; the piece is not made to your personal measurements.
How long does a made to order piece take?
The production time is stated on each product page. Including delivery, an order can take up to 3 to 4 weeks. Pieces from other makers in the same order may arrive earlier, in a separate parcel.
Can I return a made to order piece?
Yes. The pieces are made in standard sizes, not to your personal specifications, so the 14 day right of withdrawal applies as for any other order. The full terms are in the returns policy.
Why buy made to order?
Fewer pieces are made that nobody buys, and the maker works from real orders rather than forecasts. For you, the difference is mainly time: the piece takes longer to arrive.
