A leather backpack built on a doctor's bag frame, in red, in two sizes.

Details

Built on the frame of a vintage doctor's bag. The metal frame holds the mouth open, so you look into the bag instead of feeling around in it. A pin buckle strap closes the front.

Shoulder straps adjust and a grab handle takes it off the floor. An outer zip pocket for what you need in transit, an interior zip pocket for what you would rather not lose. This one is red. Two sizes: medium at 35 by 32 by 16 cm for a 13 inch laptop, large at 42 by 38 by 16 cm for up to 17 inches.

RR is a leather workshop in Latvia. Backpacks, shoulder bags, clutches and totes, cut and stitched by hand in small numbers.

The metal frame is what holds the opening square. It adds weight over a soft backpack of the same size.

Care

Wipe with a dry or barely damp cloth. Keep it out of standing water and away from direct heat. Treat with a neutral leather conditioner once or twice a year. Do not machine wash, tumble dry or iron.
