Folk 2 as a backpack: one large compartment, two open pockets on the back panel, and a construction kept deliberately plain. Fewer seams means fewer things to come apart.

30 by 30 by 9.5 cm, in caramel, so it is flatter than the tote of the same name. Every piece differs in grain and shade because the offcut it came from did.

Material

Upholstery grade leather left over from furniture production. Grain and shade vary between pieces, because the hide does.

Maker

Trendbag makes bags by hand in Estonia from leather the furniture industry has finished with. Upholstery grade offcuts, cut into backpacks, totes and shoulder bags. Each one comes out a little different, because the hide does.

Care

Wipe with a dry or barely damp cloth. Keep it out of standing water and away from direct heat. Treat with a neutral leather conditioner once or twice a year. Do not machine wash, tumble dry or iron.

Trendbag works from a small studio in Estonia and buys what a furniture factory could not use: upholstery hide, cut for sofas, left over once the panels were taken out.

Nothing is dyed to match, so two bags of the same model are never quite the same colour. That is the material telling you where it came from.
