Barbara carries a laptop in a padded sleeve set inside the main compartment, rather than in a separate back panel. The hide is heavy enough that the bag keeps its shape when you put it down.

An exterior zip pocket takes what you reach for in transit. 39 by 29 cm, in peanut brown, cut from upholstery leather a furniture workshop had finished with.

Material

Upholstery grade leather left over from furniture production. Grain and shade vary between pieces, because the hide does.

Maker

Trendbag makes bags by hand in Estonia from leather the furniture industry has finished with. Upholstery grade offcuts, cut into backpacks, totes and shoulder bags. Each one comes out a little different, because the hide does.

Trendbag works from a small studio in Estonia and buys what a furniture factory could not use: upholstery hide, cut for sofas, left over once the panels were taken out.

Nothing is dyed to match, so two bags of the same model are never quite the same colour. That is the material telling you where it came from.
