Details

Folk 2 is one square compartment with a zip across the top and nothing inside it. No dividers, no slip pockets, nothing to sort past. An interior you can see into.

The hide is heavy enough to stand the bag up when it is half empty. 30 by 30 by 12.5 cm, two handles, in white. The same pattern is made as a backpack in caramel.

Material

Upholstery grade leather left over from furniture production. Grain and shade vary between pieces, because the hide does.

Maker

Trendbag makes bags by hand in Estonia from leather the furniture industry has finished with. Upholstery grade offcuts, cut into backpacks, totes and shoulder bags. Each one comes out a little different, because the hide does.

White leather marks more visibly than a dark hide. Wipe spills off while they are still wet.

Care

Wipe with a dry or barely damp cloth. Keep it out of standing water and away from direct heat. Treat with a neutral leather conditioner once or twice a year. Do not machine wash, tumble dry or iron.

Trendbag works from a small studio in Estonia and buys what a furniture factory could not use: upholstery hide, cut for sofas, left over once the panels were taken out.

Nothing is dyed to match, so two bags of the same model are never quite the same colour. That is the material telling you where it came from.
