Details

Beige from the Classics Heavy line, the quietest ground Nordicbuddies print on. Round neck, short sleeves, straight unisex body with no bulk under a jacket. Pick this one when you want the Moomin without the statement.

Material

100% cotton at 240 g/m². That weight is what you notice first. The fabric hangs off the shoulder instead of clinging to it, the neckline stays flat, and the body keeps its line.

Maker

Nordicbuddies has held an official Moomin licence since 2019 and works from Finland and Sweden. Prints come from Tove Jansson's own drawings rather than redrawn approximations, which is the difference between a licensed piece and a lookalike. Production is audited to SMETA, BSCI and WRAP, and the fabric is OEKO-TEX certified.

Size & Fit

Unisex, XS to XXL. Take your usual size for a regular fit, or one up if you want room to layer.

Our male model is 190 cm and wears XL. Our female model is 176 cm and wears S.

Care

Wash at 30°C with similar colours and a mild detergent, always inside out. Inside out is the whole trick: the printed face never touches the drum, so it keeps its edge for years. No bleach. Tumble dry low or line dry. Iron around the print, never over it.

Tove Jansson drew the first Moomin in 1945. Nordicbuddies began in 2019, designed in Finland and licensed to put those original Moominvalley drawings onto clothing rather than souvenirs — 240 g/m² cotton, cut for adults who still read the books.
