Details

Sniff sits holding an orange beside a chair with a potted orange tree, printed large across the back above the Moomin by Nordicbuddies lettering. Round neck, short sleeves, relaxed unisex body. Beige is the warm sand ground that lets the orange and black sit softly.

Material

100% organic cotton at 240 g/m². At that weight the jersey hangs from the shoulder instead of clinging to it, and the neckline stays flat.

Maker

Nordicbuddies has held an official Moomin licence since 2019 and works from Finland and Sweden. Prints come from Tove Jansson's own drawings rather than redrawn approximations, which is the difference between a licensed piece and a lookalike. Production is audited to SMETA, BSCI and WRAP, and the fabric is OEKO-TEX certified.

Size & Fit

Relaxed unisex cut, XS to XXL. Take your usual size, or one down if you want it closer to the body.

Our male model is 184 cm and wears L; our female model is 171 cm and wears M.

Care

Wash at 30°C with similar colours and a mild detergent, always inside out. Inside out is the whole trick: the printed face never touches the drum, so it keeps its edge for years. No bleach. Tumble dry low or line dry. Iron around the print, never over it.

Tove Jansson drew the first Moomin in 1945. Nordicbuddies have held an official licence since 2019, designing in Finland and putting Moominvalley onto clothing cut for adults who still read the books.
