Details

Moomintroll mid temper, printed small rather than large, on grey. The quietest of the character hoodies: read it at arm's length and it is a plain grey hoodie. Drawstring hood, ribbed cuffs and hem.

Material

65% cotton with 35% polyester, 300 g/m². Heavy enough to wear on its own through autumn. The blend is what keeps the shoulder line and the cuffs where they started after the tenth wash rather than the second.

Maker

Nordicbuddies has held an official Moomin licence since 2019 and works from Finland and Sweden. Designs come from Tove Jansson's own drawings rather than redrawn approximations, which is the difference between a licensed piece and a lookalike. Production is audited to SMETA, BSCI and WRAP.

Size & Fit

Unisex fit, XS to XXL. Take your usual size for a regular fit, or one up if you like room to layer.

Care

Wash at 30°C with similar colours and a mild detergent, always inside out. Inside out is the whole trick: the printed face never touches the drum, so it keeps its edge for years. No bleach. Tumble dry low or line dry. Iron around the print, never over it.

Tove Jansson drew the first Moomin in 1945. Nordicbuddies began in 2019, designed in Finland and licensed to put those original Moominvalley drawings onto clothing rather than souvenirs — 240 g/m² cotton, cut for adults who still read the books.
