Details

Hennes is Hof with the handles rebuilt in leather and the inside organised. The felt gives the body its structure; the leather takes the wear where a bag is actually held.

Inside there is a laptop pocket and further compartments that close with magnetic snaps, so small things stop collecting at the bottom. This one is grey, 41 by 32 by 15 cm, 436 g empty. Want the same bag without leather? Hof is the plain version.

Material

Recycled PET felt, pressed from used drinks bottles. Dense and dry to the hand, weatherproof against light rain, and stiff enough to hold its shape when the bag is loaded. Leather at the handles and trim, where a bag takes the most wear. 436 g empty.

Maker

Nordhale is an everyday carry workshop in Estonia, founded in 2016. Bags, cases and laptop sleeves in recycled PET felt and water repellent polyester canvas, cut, stitched and finished by hand in its own workshop, and sold with a two year warranty.

Care

Spot clean with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. Air dry flat. Do not machine wash, tumble dry or iron. If it gets wet, wipe it down and let it dry away from a radiator. Wipe the leather handles with a dry cloth rather than soap, and keep them out of standing water.

Nordhale works out of a small workshop in Estonia, pressing recycled PET into a felt dense enough to keep its edges. Every piece is cut, stitched and finished there by hand.
