Details

Moominpappa on a navy ground, in the organic run of the range. Relaxed unisex cut, round neck, short sleeves. The darkest base Nordicbuddies print on, so the line work reads sharp rather than washed out.

Material

100% organic cotton at 240 g/m², certified to GOTS and OEKO-TEX Standard 100. The weight gives it structure while it stays soft against the skin, and the certification means nothing harmful sits next to it.

Maker

Nordicbuddies has held an official Moomin licence since 2019 and works from Finland and Sweden. Prints come from Tove Jansson's own drawings rather than redrawn approximations, which is the difference between a licensed piece and a lookalike. Production is audited to SMETA, BSCI and WRAP, and the fabric is OEKO-TEX certified.

Size & Fit

Relaxed unisex cut, XS to XXL. Take your usual size, or one down if you want it closer to the body.

Our male model is 184 cm and wears size L.

Care

Wash at 30°C with similar colours and a mild detergent, always inside out. Inside out is the whole trick: the printed face never touches the drum, so it keeps its edge for years. No bleach. Tumble dry low or line dry. Iron around the print, never over it.

Tove Jansson drew the first Moomin in 1945. Nordicbuddies began in 2019, designed in Finland and licensed to put those original Moominvalley drawings onto clothing rather than souvenirs — 240 g/m² cotton, cut for adults who still read the books.
