For the warmest, best-supported house slipper, choose lambswool felt with an arch-support insole. For an everyday pair, natural wool felt does the job for less. For a slipper you can put in the machine, choose recycled felt. All three are felted from wool or fibre, breathe well, and are handmade in Estonia by Omaking, a family workshop running since 1927.

Lambswool felt: warmest, with support
The TOKU line has an insole with arch support and a slightly raised heel, on a durable microfibre sole. Brussels is an open-back mule; Budapest has a closed heel and toe with a small breathing hole. Two versions add a real lambswool lining for more warmth — the Brussels in dark green and the Budapest in light pink. Sizes 36–47.
Natural felt: simple and warm
Tohkri, Nursi, Pelsi and Halla are natural wool felt on a rubber sole — warm, breathable, easy to wear. Tohkri has a closed toe and heel; Pelsi and Halla are open-back slip-ons.
Recycled felt: the washable option
The Navi slippers are felted from recycled plastic bottles on a thin rubber sole. They machine wash on a wool cycle at 30°C — the practical pick for a busy household. If you are between sizes, size up.
Caring for wool slippers
Air them out rather than washing often. Spot-clean, or hand wash cool with a wool detergent when needed. Reshape and dry flat, away from direct heat. A fabric comb removes any pilling.
